They do not stand behind their products

They do not stand behind their products. The sign started delaminating after 3 weeks of being posted outdoors, spring weather, with no excessive heat or cold. The company is giving me the run around for a replacement. Truly disappointing. Is your reputation not worth $30?

Checks all boxes!

This company checks all boxes! I had easy use of the website, prices are more than reasonable, they were quick to create and ship my order, and upon receiving my orders – I was blown away at the quality of my signs and how securely they were packaged. The materials were thick and sturdy, the images and letters were crisp and clear, and the colors are spot on to the website. I did have one sign where three of the numbers were on a line by themselves and the color was slightly different than the rest of my numbers. I contacted customer service via email and I was shocked to see how prompt they were in responding. Every-time I messaged back, within an hour or less I had a response. I felt as if Tamara was literally just waiting to help solve my problem. Sometimes email exchanges can get tricky because there is a lot of back-and-forth and not understanding. This was not the case with Tamara and BuildASign. I was not asked a ton of questions or interrogated. I simply stated my concern, sent a picture, and my problem was solved appropriately and immediately. I will forever be a faithful customer and send anyone BuildASigns way when they are in need of custom creations.

~Pictured is my chicken sign mounted but the small sign is just resting there, and still wrapped in cellophane, for me to take a quick photo that I sent to my mom.

You would have to deliberately try to be any worse than Build a Sign. We went with them because they were cheap. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Chronic mistakes, short shipments, unreliable quality, art set-up mistakes, damaged goods, items shipped that had anyone actually taking the time to look at would never had left the plant. Increased our pricing 28-74% after 3 years of doing business, and likely because we balked when they failed to deliver. Don't make the mistake we did, pay a bit more and steer clear of this company.

Buyer Beware

One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Poor print quality, damaged and missing products, terrible service, and no customer loyalty. Buyer beware - take you business elsewhere and give you money to a company that appreciates it.

Reordering bumper stickers

First batch of bumper stickers came out perfect. So I went to reorder more. Didn't edit anything, just clicked reorder. The bumper stickers came back all messed up and worthless. Asked to return thee stickers and get a new batch made, since it is there fault not mine that they came defective. They said I have to pay for shipping and will be charged a 20% reprint cost. Wow..

Window decal came out just fine - fast and cheap!

I ordered an 18x30" window decal to cover my kitchen window. The price was extremely competitive. I received the order very quickly, and the decal looks just fine.
I already knew ahead of time that the photo I was providing wasn't high enough resolution to print at that large of a size in high fidelity, but for my use, some pixeation was okay -- so that's on me. Despite that, it looks totally fine on my window! There are so many bad reviews on here, I was a bit nervous to order from them, but having worked in graphic design before, I suspected a lot of issues are related to user error. I believe that's the case.
I would definitely order a decal from them again!

VERY FRUSTRATING ORDER PROCESS

1. The site's sign editing function is horrible and offers no means to add instructions or comments.
2. When you email support, you'll get an auto-reply telling you that they need 7 to 8 business days to reply.
3. The click-through offer of free shipping did not get applied and required an additional phone call as well as me watching for the credit. No immediate confirmation of the credit after I called.
VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.

Never received my product because they "forgot".

I ordered two bumper stickers and never received them. I called and they said they forgot to print out a mailing label. I still have never received my bumper stickers. Never again.

If you love working with great…

If you love working with great companies with stellar customer service and incredible quality products, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! Based on positive online reviews and a great pricing structure, I placed a $1,500+ order with BuildASign in July for yard signs and t-shirts. I received the yard signs first, and was disappointed to discover that 3 of the 4 boxes that I received were of such poor quality that sending them to my customers would have been a death knell to my business. (One box was misprinted, revealing a white bar with production marks along a full 1/2" of each sign; the other two boxes, which had a large number of names in the background, were completely smudged and illegible, rendering the artwork completely useless). When I called customer service to see if this could be remedied, I was told they could replace the boxes, but needed pictures. I sent them the pictures and information that they requested. They responded with the exact same email, requesting pictures. I resent the pictures and information. They responded with an email "closing this case" - without any correction on their part.
In the meantime, I had received a phone call AND email from their Art Department, letting me know that the artwork I submitted would not screenprint well, and requesting that I send them new artwork. They agreed to hold off on printing until I submitted revised artwork. A few days later, before I'd even sent the new artwork to the Art Department, I received 2 boxes containing 96 t-shirts that were not even CLOSE to the artwork that I had sent to them initially. Frustrated, I called again, asking why my "held" order was now sitting on my doorstep, and their response was that, "oh, sometimes that happens."
After the third time I'd been hung up on while being "transferred" throughout the ranks of their customer service team, I contacted my credit card company to open a dispute. I just received notification that BuildASign rejected their efforts as well.
$1542.16, wasted. Hours on the phone, bounced around in their Customer Service Department, wasted. Please don't waste your time or money with this company. I am a very small business, and losing $1500 during a period that most of my industry has been exponentially negatively affected by the 2020 pandemic is beyond infuriating. I've worked with dozens of great print vendors over the years, and this company is an incredible conglomeration of all of the worst qualities of all of the worst vendors with whom I have ever worked.
I will tell every client with whom I ever work going forward to steer clear of BuildASign and all of their related companies.
Worst. Experience. EVER.

Crumby work. Dont use.

It took a long time to get the bumpster sticker first, then the ink was so dull it's barely readable. They wont refund and the tone of the email I received was extremely condescending. Yuck.

Lost order

I've used these folks a few times and never had a problem til 6/23, ordered some signs from them. I received two of the four but the last two would be shipped the next day. I received a tracking number for the second shipment, but it never was shipped. After a couple of days I emailed them to find out were is the order, and about two days later they told me the order never shipped and they don't know what happen and to let them know if I still wanted the order, well that was on a Fri morning and that means the order will not even be processed til at least the following Mon. Which means it wouldn't arrive til the following week sometime - nearly two weeks after I needed them. I just told them to cancel the order and I would go somewhere else and to refund the remaining funds (approx $24 or so). Now this is were it starts to SUCK, ok we'll refund the remaining funds... get ready for this... 20% for me cancelling the order after its been processed... but wait - they lost my order and didn't tell me for at least two days and then tell that I had to notify them IF I still wanted the order. If I didn't want the order I wouldn't have even made the order in the first place you idiots, now its all my fault that the order is lost and I even have to pay them for losing the order in the first place. Well they lost this customer for ever now, and now my new shop get the signs made in three days and they were cheaper and the quality is the same if not better. In short --- STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY, THEY SCREW UP AND NOT PRINT THE ORDER BUT STILL PRINTED THEY SHIPPING LABEL, BUT ORDER IS NEVER SHIPPED (DUH) AND WHEN THEY ASK YOU IF YOU STILL WANT THE ORDER (A WEEK LATER) AND YOU CANCEL THEY CHARGE YOU A 20% WASTE CHARGE FOR THE ITEMS THAT WERE NEVER PRINTED. GREAT SCAM - GET THERE CAKE AND EAT IT TOO DEAL. DON'T BE FOOLED WITH THEIR PRICES, GO TO LOCAL SHOP, SAME QUALITY AND PRICE. SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE, GOT A GREAT LITTLE RIP OFF SCAM GOING ON THERE

Price was good. We suffered through 3 years of misprints, poor quality, lost and damaged products, etc. It finally came to a head when they shipped us 225 signs that were blurry, dull, and off-centered. They tried to throw it back at us, causing me to waste hours collecting data and samples from previous orders. Once there was no way to continue to challenge it, they bumped our pricing up 28-74%. We should have bailed out earlier. Terrible company.

Price, the price was good until i received the product, not even worth using it, the quality of out street side flag was so poor i cannot believe any reputable business would even ship something like that out! Even i contacted them they said it was because my image that i sent them was poor, even though it is the same image that is used in all of my marketing materials. Let's say they were correct and the image was poor, why would you print and sent something that looks so bad!
